must have for me would be
1,papermario the thousand year door (truly is my fave game of all time)
2,f-zero gx (super fast future racer)
3,luigi's mansion (great fun which would be amazing with wii controlls)
4,time splitters2 (not usualy a shooter fan but this is great)
5,warioware (not as good as the advance version but beats the wii hands down)
6,mario kart double dash (3rd fave of the series)
7,ikaragua (mind bendingly hard shoot em up of old)
8,soul calibre (best version as you can play as link)
9,super smash bro melee (god i wasted some time on this game :))
i was a massive fan of the cube and are so happy that the wii is backwards compatable so the peeps who missed it get a chance to play some amazing games:)
erm, i would say smash brothers but we got brawl anyway, so it isnt really a must have anymore. same goes for mario kart really. Don't get me wrong, both awesome games so they might be worth a look.
- Paper mario ttyd!!
- F-zero
- Pikmin 1 or 2
- mario sunshine
- Wind waker
- Metroid prime 1 and 2

Excellent recommendations, i agree with them all :D
I'd also add (and sorry if I'm duplicating here):
1080 Avalanche.
Hitman 2.
Resident Evil.
XIII.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
Baten Kaitos.
All of those are just something a bit different, and maybe too overlooked on original release.
I'd urge you to get Mario Kart: Double Dash. To be honest there are some of my fave courses on that game, and the controls are silky smooth. Some perfect multiplayer races on that one, particularly Daisy Cruiser (what do you say, Coyster? Some close battles on that track ;) )
